Information for this tour was contributed by Danny Davis.

The Troy-Dixie opened June 4, 1948 at a cost of $150,000 by Moe Potasky on N. Dixie Highway on a 12 acre fan-shaped lot. Chakeres Theatres later purchased the Troy Dixie and held its final season in 1989. The National Truck Brokers are now on the site and the only remains is the Troy-Dixie ticket booth.
