Clearview Cinemas closed this theatre in 2009, later to be taken over the New York Institute of Technology.
In late 2018, after the closing of the nearby Lincoln Plaza Cinemas, a group of volunteers rented the auditorium to host "New Plaza Cinema", dedicated to filling the void in foreign language and American independent films. Photos
