Information for this tour was contributed by Darren Snow. After the Kerasotes chain rid itself of the Liberty, the city of Murphysboro took over the old theater and restored it as a performing arts facility. The new marquee -- styled loosely after the old one, which was removed in the mid-1990s -- was added around 2000. Photos
