Opened on May 27, 1969. The auditorium was twinned on November 27, 1974. Cinemark shut down the theater in 2009, and Guggenheim Entertainment reopened the theater on September 3, 2009, with live productions in one auditorium and plans for revival movies in the second. The Retro Dome, as it was renamed, closed on January 31, 2013, with plans for demolition.
