The Eureka Theatre was located on West Thomas Street in the same area as the Star Theatre, which had burned down. Ed J. Thorn, BJ Bless Jr, and JH Hollied opened the Eureka in 1913.

It closed for a period in 1918 during a flu epidemic and was then operated briefly in 1919 as the Rice-Morgan, after which the Eureka name returned.

A fire in 1926 shuttered the theater, after which GL Rugg purchased it, reopening on November 23, 1926.

The theater was later known as the Iris, Garden and Deluxe. At the time the theater burned to the ground in December 1936, it was referred to as the Eureka again.
