An article in the 7/25/1985 edition of The Advocate-Messenger reported that "Mike Campbell, president of Tri-State Theatres, said today the company will take over operation of the Danville movie theater on Aug. 2."

An article in the 1/31/1989 Advocate-Messenger reported that Premiere had made the decision to close the older twin theatre as customers preferred the newer four screen theatre which was built right across the street in 1986.
