The Airline Drive-In was built on the site of the former Sportsman's Park Race Track. The screen tower was damaged by Hurricane Flossy in 1956, causing the theater to close for just one week to make repairs. The Airline and Jeff Drive-Ins were sold to Gulf States at the start of 1968.
