Grand Opening was Saturday, March 6, 1924. In July 1933, Dr C. T. Young and M. E. Moody, owners of the Young & Moody Building housing the Capital Theater, purchased the fixtures of the movie house. It was open until the 1960s. Afterwards, the theatre space was converted to retail.
