Located at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Marshal Foch Street, United Theaters sold the Beacon to Cobb Theaters in August of 1970. Two years later, Cobb sold the building and it was converted to a bank.

The building was flooded by Hurricane Katrina and it was demolished and replaced with a new bank building.
