The Central Theatre was located on 113 N. 3rd Street and contained 500 seats. This theatre was known in its early times as the Fairbury Theatre and opened in the early thirties. It closed in 1955 and burned down in the late 50s. The McCollum theatre circuit, located in Hoopeston, IL, owned it.
