Information for this tour was contributed by Darren Snow.

Built in 1941 for the Engler Bros., the Hopkins was designed by Perry E. Crosier and decorated by the Gunnar Dahlstrom Company. The Hopkins featured 1,250 seats and signage by the Vent & Canopy Co. Cost of construction was $127,500.


An article in the July 13, 1985 edition of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported the theater would be closing forever after the following Tuesday.
