Opened as the Zeller Theatre on February 21, 1912, the theater burned on September 8, 1913. The destroyed roof and interior were repaired and the building functioned as a garage for 11 years before being leased to Rickards and Nace for use again as a theater.
The new Yuma Theatre opened on January 12, 1927, and operated until January 25, 1936, when the building was again damaged by a fire. Repairs were made again and the theater reopened on April 11, 1936. Photos Photos remain the property of the Member and may not be reproduced without the written consent of the Member. |
