An article in the December 4, 1980 edition of the Layton Lakeside Review reported details of the opening.
The April 17, 1985 edition of the Lakeside Review reported that Cinemark had assumed operation of this theatre from Consolidated.
The July 16, 1986 edition of the Lakeside Review reported that two screens had been added. "The expansion consisted of splitting the two larger theaters that once held 322 people down the middle,"
