Information for this tour was contributed by Daniel Gibbs. This was the workinghorse theatre of Waverly, eclipsed by the palatial Boulevard for most of its life. This was the favorite of kids seeking a Saturday afternoon thrill. Opened in 1909 and closed in 1969, the building is still there, though you have to stare at the "Shoe Fair" for a while to realize that you're looking at the silhouette of the old theatre. Up close, it's a bit more obvious as the old terrazzo carriage lobby floor is still there.
