The Capitol Theatre was known as the Elberta Theatre from about 1918 to 1927. (1)

On 14 July 1984, the Capitol Theatre was closed temporarily after a chunk of plaster measuring two feet by three feet fell from the ceiling, giving a Brigham City housewife cuts and bruises. (2)
