Information for this tour was contributed by Dave Felthous. The Crest was opened in June 1949 by Fox West Coast Theaters and showed the Betty Grable-Dan Dailey musical "My Blue Heaven" as its first feature. The Crest's pretty auditorium has/had oyster-colored cork walls adorned with intricate low-light fixtures resembling costume jewelry. The main illumination was from floodlights on the cream-colored waterfall curtain. CinemaScope at the Crest was 38 feet wide.
