The Valleyview Cinemas, located at the corner of Hamburg Turnpike and Valley Road, has had an amazing history. On opening night, the famed comedian Jerry Lewis appeared in person. He had a dream of building a nationwide chain of independently owned community movie theatres, and the Valleyview was his very first. While the Jerry Lewis theatre chain did not survive, the Valleyview did.
