OKC's Centre Theatre opened in 1947 and was designed by S. Straus Nayfach. Nafach also used the same auditorium style in his 1947 Alameda Theatre, San Antonio, TX. One of the few major difference between the two auditoriums was that the Centre sidewall blacklight murals depicted an abstract Hollywood theme, where the murals of the Alameda illustrated Texas history.

The Centre closed in April 1976. In 2017, the former lobby was converted as a 200-seat theater for the Oklahoma City Museum of Art.
