Information for this tour was contributed by Solomon's Porch at the Roxy. The Roxy was originally opened on May 29-1941 by Benjamin F. Shearer. It was designed by Bjarne Moe, one of the Pacific coast's foremost theatre architects.
The seats where all redone by the previous owner along with new carpet, but the theater is still mostly original and is in a continual process of restoration as funds allow.
The Roxy still displays it's original pioneer northwest photographer Asahel Curtis' giant photo mural of Bremerton, The Navy Yard with the White Fleet of 1908. At the time it was one of largest photo murals ever produced in the Pacific Northwest.
After closing, it was home to Calvary Chapel Bremerton, and was used for a church, Christian concerts, events and movies. It featured Solomon's Porch Coffee House & Espresso Bar.
It reopened as a cinema in March 2018.
