Information for this tour was contributed by Darren Snow. Kerry Segrave's wonderful, out-of-print book, "Drive-In Theaters," relates the story of Barco (short for Barton County) operator Butler Felts, who in 1976 was inundated with letters of complaint from local right-wingers for showing R-rated movies. These days, the Barco is such a pillar of the community that it appears in the county's tourism pamphlet.
