Information for this tour was contributed by Jerry Horwitz. The Aron Theatre was the second theater there and was built about 1946 or so by Aaron Rappaport, my grandfather from whom it derived its name. When he built it, he was already operating the Hollywood Theater there, probably about a block away, which I believe he probably also built. He died in the later 1940s and my grandmother eventually sold both theatres and other properties there, probably in the 1960s.
