The Paradise was closed by Loews in 1994. It then underwent a $25 million restoration in preparation for a 2005 reopening. Over the next few years it staged concerts and boxing matches. However, the theatre appears to have closed again by July 2008. Another reopening for live music performances occurred on October 24, 2009. It closed again in the fall of 2012 and was converted into a church.
