Another downtown movie house, the Adler is now a concert hall that still shows the occasional film.
Cary Grant was preparing for his one-man show, "An Evening With Cary Grant", at the Adler on November 28, 1986, when he suffered a major stroke. He passed away later that night at St. Luke's Hospital.
