The Ypsi-Ann was Washtenaw county's first drive-in, opening on May 29, 1948. The 600-capacity theater featured RCA speakers and opened with "Springtime in the Sierras". General Cinema took over in 1967. The drive-in was razed in December 1978 and is now home to a grocery and drug store.
