Edward Carrow and Arthur & Roger Robinson opened the Scio Drive-In on April 10, 1953, with a 65-foot screen. In 1967, General Cinema took over operation. New owners arrived in 1974, along with adult films, and many area residents complained about the screens that were visible to Jackson Road and the nearby Interstate 94 highway. The state police temporarily shut down the theater in 1975, but the theater continued to operate until 1985. The buildings were razed in 1991.
