Information for this tour was contributed by Jeff Edling. Carmike Cinemas took over operation of the Hilltop 4 Theatre about 1995 and ran it until 2008. CEC Theatres acquired the theater in 2008 and operated it for one year. In June 2009, CEC Theatres sold the Hilltop 4 Theatre to the owner of the Kearney Cinema 8 because they no longer wanted to compete with the bigger theater for first run films. The new acquisition allowed the owner of the Kearney 8 to move movies between the two theaters, and also allowed them to play independent films.
