The Grand originally opened on October 4, 1924. It has been renovated and reopened after the building was condemned.

A 2/6 Marr & Colton organ was installed that came out of the Rivoli in Chicopee, Mass. The instrument was purchased from Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Propst and is now being installed with an enlargement to 12 ranks and adding Vibra-Harp. The new organ was restored and made its debut at the Grand on October 4, 2009.
