The Bremen closed Sunday (July 27th, 2003) after a 30-plus-year run at the nearly-dead Brementowne Mall in Tinley Park. It opened as a twin in the early 1970s. In the mid-1970s, it moved to another part of the mall, and was rebuilt as a quad. Since that time, it had grown to six small screens. It was the only remaining movie theater in Tinley Park, which as of today, is without a movie house. The multiplex will be totally gutted and replaced by the nearby Menard's (a chain of large hardware stores in Chicagoland) which is expanding its space.
