The Hub Theatre opened in 1932 with 947 seats, a balcony and a stage. It was owned and operated by the Alger Theaters circuit, headquartered in La Salle, for at least 25 years. It continues operation today as a 3-screen house, which was split in the 1980s. The main floor has been twinned and the balcony houses the third screen.
