The Prairie Preservation Guild, Ltd., a local non-profit preservation organization, successfully acquired the theatre [in 2001] with funding assistance from Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana. After some initial stabilization work and extensive cleaning, the organization has reopened the theatre for business while they continue to raise funds to restore the theatre to its original Art Deco glory.
