Information for this tour was contributed by Mark Richey. The Tinseltown Plano opened on December 20, 1996. The first theater in Far North Dallas to feature stadium seating, it was an instant success. It’s a nice theater, if far too glitzy. Cinemark world headquarters is located right next door. For a while, it was the biggest-grossing theater in the Dallas area. I’m not sure if it still has that title, but it’s still popular.
