An article in the February 19, 1973 issue of Boxoffice states that ground had been broken for the creation of the Carrousel entertainment complex.
An article in the 3/12/1980 edition of the Forth Worth Star-Telegram reported that Plitt Theaters had "acquired the Cinemark chain of 13 theaters which includes the Western Hills, and Cinema 4 Arlington..."
