United Artists opened the first multiplex theater in Washtenaw County on October 5, 1973, with the movies "Electra Glide in Blue", "Rage" and "A Touch of Class". Originally four screens, three more were added before the theater closed.
In 2002, Madstone Theaters reopened the theater as an outlet for arthouse product. After Madstone failed as a corporation, brothers Phil and Greg Urrutia reopened the theater as the Village 7. Greg Urrutia also owned the Fox Village Theater. Photos Photos remain the property of the Member and may not be reproduced without the written consent of the Member. |
