Fox Eastern opened the Fox Village on July 12, 1967, at a cost of $500,000. The theater was later sold to the United Artists chain. It was twinned in 1978 by Mann Theatres and two additional screens were added to the building in 1979. The theater closed briefly in 1992 and is now operated by MJR Theatres.
