Originally a single screen theatre seating 1,637, the Avalon closed on July 2, 2000. Seats were removed to make way for the dining tables upon the theatre's renovation and 2014 reopening. The balcony was not renovated and remains closed. Thus the seating capacity of the main auditorium has been reduced to 264. The stage house was made into a small second auditorium in 1988. It seats 68.

The Wurlitzer 3/8 organ was removed in 2004.
