Information for this tour was contributed by Matthew McDaniel. Manassas Cinemas was opened by R/C Theatres in 1985. It enjoyed very good business, and was the premiere theatre in the area. It was bought by Loews in 1990, when it became a second-run house. It was bought by Mark O'Meara in May 1995, who has kept it ever since. In 2001, Manassas Cinemas became a first-run house again, and new seats and carpet were installed in three out of the four auditoriums. Now, in 2003, the lobby has been entirely remodeled with a brand-new concession stand and a medium-sized kitchen for the Manassas Movie Cafe. One of the auditoriums now has restaurant-style seating, and movies are shown while patrons can order food, as in a restaurant.
