A nondescript auditorium fronted with an overwhelmingly impressive rotunda and facade of glass block and stucco.

The Senator closed on July 21, 2010, and reopened on October 15, 2010, under the operator of the Charles Theatres. The theater closed again in April 2012 for renovations to include three additional auditoriums. The renovated theatre reopened on October 10, 2013.
