Information for this tour was contributed by Vincent Astor. Named after a nearby street called Airways going out to the Memphis Airport. It had a long life as a neighborhood theatre, ended up as an adult theatre. Its one claim to fame is that Kemmons Wilson began his career with a rented popcorn cart in the lobby of the Airways and afterward founded Holiday Inns, Inc.
