Information for this tour was contributed by Grant Smith.

In 1969, the Century 22 was built across the street from the Century 21.

Only a few years after they opened, both building fell victim to the trend of splitting large theaters. Century 22 was split into two screens (Century 24 and Century 25) and Century 21 was split into three screens (Century 21 - 23). In the late 1980s or early 1990s, four small square theaters were added onto the Century 22 building, creating the Century 6 Theatres.

Century 24 showed many 70mm presentations and was later equipped for DTS. Century 25 and Century 22 also showed 70mm and were equipped for Dolby Stereo.

In 1998, both buildings were demolished so the space could be used as a parking lot for the new all-THX Century 16 theaters, which were built on an adjacent lot. The old theaters were not in the best shape.
