Information for this tour was contributed by Dave Felthous. Opened in December 1996 by Cineplex Odeon, the Meridian boasts 16 screens, eight on each of two levels. Customers take escalators from the ground floor, where tickets are purchased. Although the company insists they are within industry guidelines, the floors in the theaters have little slope, and the original seats, with very high backs, made for poor sightlines. After customers complained, lower backs were installed. The Meridian's street floor has an office-building feel about it, with few posters or displays to signal that there's a theater here. Photos
