Laie Cinemas was bought by Wallace Theatres in 1994 as a single screen, locally operated independent theatre. The theatre quickly became a favorite of the chain owner and was renovated to two screens. The theatre's lease with the church that owns the shopping center (LDS) will not allow it to exhibit any rated "R" fare and the theatre is closed on Sundays. The picture is from the first day of operation as a Wallace facility. Wallace quickly upgraded the Marquee and storefront.
