Information for this tour was contributed by RW Daniel. Excerpts from an article from the Greensboro Daily News:
"The Piedmont Theatre specializes in furnishing high class vaudeville attrcations besides photo-plays [sic]... The Piedmont is quite a modern affair and a very valuable piece of property. It is located in the heart of the city on Elm Street near Market Square, is fitted up in most modern fashion, has a large seating capacity, is kept warm and delightful in winter, and cool and breezy in summer, and in every way presents a very charming and pleasant appearance.
"Mr. Grover F. Daniel is the General Manager of the business and is looked upon as one of the popular successful theatrical managers in the South, having had fifteen years experience, and formerly connected with theatres in Charlotte, Durham, and Winston-Salem. He is a native of Charlotte, N.C. and has been in Greensboro for about two years and has held the position as manager of the Piedmont since September 1, 1916. Mr. Daniel has become favorably known in business and social circles of Greensboro, is a member of the Elks Club and also has membership in the Virginia-Carolina Vaudeville Association."
