Information for this tour was contributed by HC Lower.

HC Lower purchased the Ritz in early 1949 from a party by the name of TL Ritchie. Seating was about 250. It was a mess and we spent most of the year on an extensive renovation that turned out nice for a small-town Texas theatre in those days.

Tuesdays and Saturdays were special days, opening at ten in the morning and running until after midnight. On Saturdays, the bill was changed at midnight, with a different ticket required.

Shortly after the renovation was completed in late 1949, the theater was sold.
