Information for this tour was contributed by Dave Felthous.

The Majestic Bay opened in October 2000 on the site of the old Bay Theater in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood.

In its place local millionaire and movie fan Kenny Alhadeff built a stunning three-story triplex, with the main auditorium on the first floor, two smaller rooms and a second snack bar on the third level, and restrooms on the floor between. His wife, a designer, provided beautiful wall and ceiling lights that evoke the seashore location of the neighborhood.

Alhadeff was quoted in the press that he doesn't expect to make money with the Majestic Bay, but he HAS been able to compete with the chains in booking the latest major films into this small gem of a cinema.
