Information for this tour was contributed by William French Jr. Originally a screen was put up in the skating rink and then later that year a small theatre was built inside and called the Garden. In 1910, the skating rink was closed and the entire building became the theatre. It had a mix of live performers and movies. The Garden was closed in 1911 because of safety concerns and was converted into a military armory and the theatre was ripped out and the original maple floors that were used for roller skating were refinished. This building was located on Third Street with an alley way (that is still there) creating an entrance to Fourth Street. The location of the building is now a parking garage which is scheduled to be replaced by a multiplex. The alley way is next to San Rafael Joe's restaurant.
