While the Carrizozo Theatre operated a few blocks away, George J. Dingwall was showing motion pictures in a back room of the Exchange Bank, today's Masonic Temple building and home to the Lincoln County Historical Society. He later purchased the Carrizozo Theatre and began showing motion pictures there.
