Information for this tour was contributed by Dave Santee. The theatre was originally the Pontiac Theatre and used an old Pontiac Motors sign until the car company sued. The name was then changed to the Holly Theatre. The theatre was built by the Northrup family of Syracuse, Kansas, who were area car dealers and also built the Northrup Theatre and Syracuse Drive In Theatre in Syracuse, Kansas.
