Located in the Pittman Shopping Center, the Tiger was damaged by Hurricane Betsy in 1965 and reopened that November. After closing on June 24, 1973, it operated as an adult cinema with the name rearranged to "RIGET" and later "GRIT" by yet another operator. The theater closed in 1980 and remained vacant until becoming a church in the late 1990s. The building flooded during Hurricane Katrina, but still stands as of 2012.
