Information for this tour was contributed by Paul Linfesty.

The Circle Theatre opened on Thursday, June 27, 1946 in the Greenfield area of South Bakersfield, located just a block west of the main intersection of Greenfield. The gala opening featured a premiere of the movie Strange Voyage.

The theatre was 60 feet wide at the projector end and 30 feet wide at the screen. Every opera-style chair faced directly towards the screen and was arranged continental-style, with no dividing aisles. According to owner-manager Victor Mausback, exceptional tonal quality was gained by this arrangement. The theater was equipped with the latest in RCA sound equipment and projection machines.

Apparently, the theater never upgraded to Cinemascope. It closed on September 30, 1956 with Johnny Concho and Crime in the Street.
