The old Fox Theater was originally known as the Empress Theater.

According to the Laramie Republican, its first ads appeared on November 1st, 1912. The Empress closed on June 26th, 1939 and reopened approximately six months later as the Fox theater. The grand opening was September 14th, 1939. The Fox was closed in the 1950s or 1960s.
